In general, in nature, people are more interested in big animals, such as the elephant, than in small ones like the frog. This is due to the fact that the latter are less visible and less attractive. However, Claude Bernard, a great French doctor, already said “If the services provided to science had to be taken into account, the frog would occupy the first place.” This shows how very useful they are in their environment and for humans. For example, frogs participate in experimental medicine and, with frogs in nature, the number of mosquitoes and other insects is reduced. In addition, frog legs are a very popular meat because of its quality. This quality also means that they are collected too much in the wild and are subject to major trafficking. This traffic is reducing their number, although not all of them are yet known. It is therefore urgent to know them better in order to take advantage of them.
