The Government of the Republic of Benin provides executive power and is headed by His Excellency President Patrice TALON who is both Head of State and Head of Government. The Government of Benin is composed of 24 ministries including Minister of State in charge of Planning and Development, who also coordinates government action. It ensures the implementation of the Government Action Programme through the various ministries, programmes and projects.
