This document is a generalist collection devoted to major contemporary issues relating to protected areas, sustainable spaces. Through summaries or original insights, it reports on multidisciplinary research conducted by IRD in partnership with countries in the South to meet the challenges of globalization and implement the conditions for eco-development. Through this document, IRD thus wishes to meet the expectations of a large public by offering them the result of researchers' reflections and by informing them rigorously on major contemporary issues.
