The project “Support for the preservation and development of gallery forests and the production of digital base mapping (PAPDFGC)” is structured around two objectives:
* The reduction of the causes and effects of floods by promoting the conservation and sustainable use of gallery forests in the lower valley of the Ouémé River;
* The provision of up-to-date basic digital mapping, for the whole of Benin.
The Project aims to contribute to the achievement of the UNDAF effect “populations from disadvantaged areas, especially young people and women, benefit from increased employment opportunities and income-generating activities as well as better food security” with the implementation of new systems for the non-destructive local use of the country's forest heritage, in particular forest galleries.This document is the agreement of the project.
