This road map offers a first framework to guide ambitions, choices and strategies to obtain stronger protected areas. It focuses on three fundamental axes covering the governance, efficiency and sustainability of PAs. This NAPA letter looks at the three directions proposed for the first axis: healthy protected areas. The two other axes are presented in NAPA letters No. 54 and No. 55 respectively in June and July.
