This document is the report of the study entitled: “Ethnobotanical knowledge and practices in traditional veterinary and human
medicines in Benin: similarity or dissimilarity?” ”. This study
assumes that the endogenous knowledge and practices of the Beninese populations in the field
of veterinary medicine would come from those used in human ethnomedicine. Its objective
is to research the similarity between the two types of medicines in terms of knowledge and
practices on the plants used in order to highlight the complementarity that exists between traditional veterinary and
human medicines.
