2022 Aug 19Development of a database on the main indicators for measuring Benin's contribution to the implementation of the main objective of the 2010 — 2020 strategic plan of the CBD.
National Clearing-House Centers have a key role to play in educating and informing the general public and can at the same time take a key position in assessing progress in this direction. Indeed, the CHM aims to contribute substantially to the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity and its Strategic Plan for the period 2011-2020, through effective information services and other appropriate means, in order to promote and facilitate scientific and technical cooperation, knowledge sharing and information exchange and to establish a fully operational network of Parties and partners.
It is therefore in order to fully play its role that the CHM — Benin is implementing, with the support of the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences of Belgium, a database on potential indicators to measure the country's contribution to the achievement of the main objective of the 2011 — 2020 strategic plan.
The study is divided into two phases. The first aims to identify potential indicators for the measurement at the national level of objective 1 of the Strategic Plan of the Convention
