The annual review of the water and sanitation sectors, organized in Cotonou on 18 and 19 June 2015, took place under the chairmanship of the Technical Advisor for Water Resources of the Ministry of Water. It brought together the various actors in the sector (State services at the central and deconcentrated levels, municipalities, private sector, civil society, Technical and Financial Partners) in order to assess the implementation of the Program Budgets by Objective fiscal year 2014 for water and basic hygiene and sanitation as well as that of the SONEB's Provisional Business Development Plan (PPDE). At the end of the review, the Ministry of Water (ME), the Ministry of Health (MS) and the Technical and Financial Partners (PTF) of the two sectors have developed this checklist which presents the lessons learned from the situation of these sectors during fiscal year 2014 and their shared vision of the main challenges to be met in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the main recommendations for the sector.
