To meet these challenges, the Government intends to strengthen the productive potential of the economy
with the aim of eventually initiating genuine structural transformation. To this end, the
particularities of the year 2016 are: (i) the development of the 4th generation of the SCRP for Benin;
(ii) the entry into force of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The idea of sustainable
development is to be able to meet the needs of our generation without exposing resources to
danger for the future generation; (iii) 2nd year of
the ECOWAS Common External Tariff (CET) between countries to facilitate trade and trade.
To contribute to the realization of this shared vision, the Department intends to inject a new
dynamic of development into the water sector.
