As part of the International Youth Internship Program set up by CIDA, the international relations office of the University of Moncton recruited for a seven-month internship in connection with the establishment of marine protected areas in Benin. The first and last months of the internship take place on the Moncton campus of the University of Moncton with a stay of five months in Benin. During the first month in Moncton, Canada, it was a question of becoming familiar with the objectives of the internship and we had analyzed the existing literature in the field of marine protected areas and completed the initial formalities. In Benin, tasks were assigned by the CRHOB and the work plan was developed and validated by all parties during the first part of the internship. The last part of the course provided an opportunity to review the first two parts of the course with the Canadian part. This document is the internship report.
