The GreenFacts initiative is a non-profit project founded in 2001. Its mission is to provide non-specialists with the strictly factual content of complex scientific consensus reports on health and the environment and sustainable development.

To this end, the GreenFacts Initiative publishes these clear and accurate “Highlights” in several languages and at two levels of detail. These are peer reviewed under the supervision of an independent scientific committee. The “Green Facts Express” also mentions briefly and factually the recent publication of some reports on these topics. The site receives around 5 million visits per year from all over the world.
