The Republic of Benin received support from the World Bank for the development and implementation of the Benin Classified Forests Project. This project will cover the period 2019-2021 and aims to improve the integrated management of a dozen Classified Forests, to facilitate access to wood energy for the main consumption centres. one of the components of the project focuses on supporting forest governance. In order to be able to measure the progress that will have been made in forest governance thanks to the interventions of the project, it is envisaged to carry out an evaluation of forest governance indicators at the beginning of the implementation of the said project; this will make it possible to establish the baseline situation on these forest governance indicators.
